Bruce  have Over 20 years experience in Social Justice, working within the Provincial Government and Non Profit Organizations. his career has focused on supporting people who are vulnerable and facing economic challenge.   he became involve d in the Rent Bank Community in 2012 and have developed a real passion for Rent Banks.  "Rent Banks have furthered my ability to provide meaningful support to vulnerable members of society and fits with my personal values".

In February 2019 he joined Purpose Society as a Rent Bank Case Manager for the New Westminster Rent Bank.  With the expansion of rent bank services throughout British Columbia Purpose Society opened rent banks in the communities of Burnaby, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.  I then became the Purpose Rent Bank Program Co-ordinator.

Ashley is the Case Manager for the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Rent Bank

She has worked as the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Rent Bank Case manager for two years and counting. She has 10 years’ experience working within the social services field including housing, mental health and addictions.

She has a passion for meeting people where they are at and working alongside them to identify and address the challenges that prevent them from obtaining their personal goals. She feels strongly that housing is a right and not a commodity. She is grateful that working with the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Rent Bank allows her to connect with people in the community and work with them to keep them and their families housed.

Ashley sits on the leadership team of the local Community Action Team, known as STORM (Stop Overdose Ridge Meadows) and volunteers with the City of Maple Ridge on the Social Policy Advisory Committee.

Outside of work Ashley is a single parent to a sassy 6-year-old daughter, together they enjoy going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings, hanging out in our local cafes and spending time in nature. Ashley is also actively involved with her church working with the kids.
